SHREVEPORT, La. - Shreveport police arrested Glenn Garrett after he allegedly fired a gun at an officer who was responding to a suspicious person call.

The Shreveport Police Department received a call about a prowler at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Southfield Road on Wednesday night, just before 10 p.m. The caller reported that someone was inside his apartment.

Officers located Garrett when they arrived. When they shone a flashlight in his direction, police say he fired one shot at them.

Garrett was then safely taken into custody, and nobody was injured.

Garrett originally made the call to SPD, believing somebody was inside his apartment. He told police he armed himself and waited outside.
