NEW YORK (PIX11) — A nationwide Salmonella outbreak linked to recalled eggs has spanned 14 states from coast to coast, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC put out a food safety alert on Thursday regarding the multistate outbreak on its website.

According to CDC officials, the Salmonella infections are linked to Country Eggs, LLC, large brown cage-free "Sunshine Yolk" or "Omega-3 Golden Yolk" eggs. The company recalled the eggs on Wednesday.

These eggs may have been sold in a carton with brand names such as Nagatoshi Produce, Misuho or Nijiya Markets. The code on the cartons is CA 7695, and the sell-by dates range from July 1 to September 16, 2025.
