LANAI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Lanai High and Elementary School will be closed Thursday due to a power outage officials said.

The announcement came in at around 7:30 a.m.

The unexpected outage is affecting the campus and the school is unable to provide meal services.

Officials said crews are working with the utility company to restore service.
