A Wallingford police officer sustained a broken leg while trying to detain an intoxicated man who was making a scene at a go-karting facility on Wednesday night, according to police.
The officers had responded to On-Trak Karting on North Colony Road around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday because they received a call about an intoxicated man who was arguing with employees and behaving aggressively toward patrons, police said.

When law enforcement got there, a 28-year-old man charged at a police cruiser and tried to leave as officers were speaking with him, police said.
The suspect continued to resist, struggled with officers and one Wallingford officer sustained a broken tibia and fibula and had to be brought to the hospital
