CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Guard Dalton Risner is officially a Cincinnati Bengal, the team announced Thursday.
Risner, a seventh-year player from Kansas State University, signed as a free agent with Cincinnati.
Bengals coach Zac Taylor said Thursday that Risner will play guard and could be called available for Week 1.
Risner joining the Bengals comes after Cincinnati lost one of its guards for the foreseeable future.
Coach Taylor announced Aug. 20 that Cordell Volson is likely out for the season due to a shoulder injury.
The Bengals begin the regular season Sept. 7 against the Cleveland Browns.
