Police are appealing for information after a group gathered in a wooded Bishopbriggs area to take part in 'organised football violence'.

Officers were called to an area near Marley Field and Cadder Road at around 8.15pm on Friday, August 22, following reports of a 'disturbance'.

Police say that a group of around 20 had gathered but left the scene when officers arrived. There were no reports of injuries.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Several individuals involved have been identified and investigations are on going to identify and arrest further persons involved.

"I am appealing to the public to help identify the people that took part in this disturbance.
