ASHEVILLE, N.C. —

An out-of-state tip led to a drug bust and the arrest of four suspects in Asheville, according to police.

Police said that information from a drug investigation conducted by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia led the Asheville Police Department to obtain a search warrant for a residence on Ascension Drive. Latest Forecast

Prior to executing the search warrant, officers encountered two people leaving the home in a car.

They said the passenger, Deonte Sincere Gardner, was found in possession of 16.6 grams of fentanyl and taken into custody.
