PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - The Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder’s Office announced the estimated cost of a recall election on Thursday.

The estimated cost is $480,200.00. Officials say this estimate is based on historical costs that the County Election Department has experienced in previous election cycles.

The County Clerk received a Notice of Intent on Tuesday to circulate a recall petition regarding Pueblo County Coroner Brian Cotter, which marked the beginning of the formal recall petition process.

This petition comes after 24 bodies, along with several containers of bones and ‘probable human tissue’ were found inside Davis Mortuary, owned by Cotter.
