A Thomasville man who authorities say is married to three women in three counties has been charged with two counts of felony bigamy, according to a news release from the Davidson County Sheriff's Office.

Harry Irvine Burdick Jr., 61, of 245 Stacy Street, was arrested on Friday after a five-month investigation into his multiple unions, according to the release.

Motivated to wed a trio of women by "financial motivation and personal gain,'' Burdick is married to women in Lincoln, Davidson and Guilford counties, the sheriff's office release said.

Sheriff's detectives were unable to find any evidence of divorce proceedings for Burdick, and "we believe there could be additional victims for this investigation,'' the release said.
