Brantford native Brandi Franklin says she’s on a “Mission Possible” that involves a challenging assignment.

Having gone through a harrowing battle with breast cancer over the past two years that has left lasting aftereffects, the mother of four is determined to “Paint the Town Pink” and, in the process, “spread love, unity, hope and prayer” to those affected by the disease.

“It’s hard to explain but when I was going through treatment, I could feel everybody’s hands beneath me, lifting me up,” she said. “That’s what everyone deserves. I don’t want people to feel alone.”

Paint the Town Pink awareness campaigns are held in various communities throughout Canada and beyond.

Franklin would like to see Brantford awash in pink in October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
