KANSAS CITY, Mo. —

Thousands of Husker football fans made the trip down to Kansas City for Nebraska's season opener at Arrowhead Stadium.

The stadium opened the parking lot 30 minutes early due to the number of fans that showed up.

Some fans traveled a couple of hours, while others came across the ocean to make it to Thursday's game.

Archie Wilson's parents flew in from Australia to watch their son in his Husker debut.

"I think it was a good thing to let it out," his father, Lee Wilson said, when KETV asked about the viral clip of Archie breaking down during a press conference.
