AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Coming up this weekend, several organizations are coming together to offer free Narcan, fentanyl test strips, recovery resources and chances for connection.

Sunday is National Overdose Awareness Day, and September is National Recovery Month.

Larry Jesion runs the Byllesby Center in Harrisburg.

He says their Narcan dispensary runs out nearly every day.

Finding Solutions: SPCA aims to make checking for chips easy

The SPCA Albrecht Center in Aiken is finding solutions to reunite lost pets with their owners ... faster.

One of the center’s biggest needs is Narcan and Fentanyl test strips.

A box located out Larry’s Ministry is the only 24/7 walk up supply of overdose materials in Augusta.
