SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - An elderly Springfield man spent days in the hospital and blames a moving company for holding his oxygen machine hostage.

“I’m supposed to be on oxygen like this 24/7,” said Raymond Eaton. “I have really bad lungs from construction work.”

It’s a bulky, heavy machine. So it went in the moving truck. Raymond and Catherine Eaton thought his smaller, portable one would do fine for a three-hour move from Independence. They hired 3 Brothers Moving and Storage.

“Three Brothers was the cheapest I got,” said Catherine. “They said it would be $1,900 some odd dollars. It ended up being like $3,000.”
