Stores in Carrington and Sage Hill robbed by groups wearing face coverings

Calgary police are investigating two separate armed robberies reported at cannabis stores in the city’s northwest earlier this month.

The first robbery occurred Aug. 13 at approximately noon, when two male suspects, believed to be teenagers, entered Tower Cannabis at 159 Carrington Plaza N.W.

“It is believed the suspects entered the store wearing face coverings and assaulted the employee while threatening him with a firearm,” A CPS press release stated Thursday.

“The suspects took an undisclosed amount of product from the shop and fled the area in an unknown vehicle.”

The second robbery occurred on Aug. 20 at approximately 5:10 p.m., at Canna Cabana, located at 101 Sage Valley Common N.W.
