WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) – Hawkeye Community College celebrated the grand opening of their newly expanded Regional Transportation Training Center on Thursday with a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony.

The facility first opened in 2012 and provides hands-on training for students. Preparing them for careers in the transportation industry. The latest expansion adds 7,500 square feet to the main building, including three classrooms, a second simulation lab, a test proctoring room, a third shop bay with large overhead doors, a student lounge, and faculty offices.
