Santa Maria High School recently celebrated the return to classes with two welcome back rallies hosted by the Associated Student Body.
The more than 3,400 students who attended were decked out in class colors — seniors in Hawaiian colors, juniors in blue, sophomores in yellow, and freshmen in green.
The rally opened with a high-energy performance by the Saints Band and Color Guard, which set the tone for the event. The ASB officers were introduced and took the stage to emcee the program, keeping the crowd engaged.
Fall sports teams introduced team captains to loud cheers from their classmates. Pep performances followed, with the cheer squad electrifying the crowd and the Ballet Folklórico group showcasing a vibrant cultural performance.
