FARMVILLE, Va. (WWBT) - Senator Mark Warner visited Kilmar Abrego Garcia at the Farmville Detention Center on Thursday.

That’s where the Maryland man is being held after immigration authorities detained him on Monday.

Warner took to X on Thursday, saying he had delivered letters from Abrego Garcia’s family.

The senator says he wants to keep fighting for justice after the Trump administration wrongfully deported him to El Salvador earlier this year.

The administration maintains that Abrego Garcia , 30, is part of the dangerous MS-13 gang — an allegation he denies — and has said it intends to deport him to the African country of Uganda.
