100 Years of Dickinson State Football: New book commemorates history of the Blue Hawks

DICKINSON, N.D. (KFYR) - Thursday night Dickinson State Football kicks off the 100th year of the program’s history. The season begins against Valley City State. While the new players are working on the future of the program, several people behind the scenes have been working to commemorate the past of the program by writing a book.

Authors Scooter Pursley, formerly of the Dickinson Press, Jim Dahl of KDIX Radio and Debora Dragseth, who is a professor at Dickinson State University, all came together to write the book.

“The history of Dickinson State is a history of the country,” Dragseth said. “It’s the history of North Dakota.”
