NORWICH, CT. (WFSB) - A convicted felon was arrested for possessing firearms in Norwich.
Police say that at around 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning, officers started investigating a reported disturbance in the downtown section of the city.
Authorities learned that the incident involved 33-year-old Ruben Colon, who was a convicted felon that is prohibited from owning firearms. Officers found him in the area of Lake Street and he was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.
He was found to be in possession of numerous weapons and ammunition.
He was hit with numerous charges, including interfering with an officer and possession of high capacity magazines.
He was held on a $200,000 bond and is set to appear in court Friday.
