As college students return to the classroom, those who want to learn a little more about the state they’re studying in will soon have a great opportunity to do so.
The Mississippi Department of Archives and History announced that Sept. 2-5 is “College Welcome Week” at the Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson, meaning students get in free of charge with proof of a student ID.
The Mississippi Civil Rights Museum and the Museum of Mississippi History opened in 2017 in celebration of the state’s bicentennial and are administered by MDAH.
