MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Levi Elementary School was placed on lockdown Friday morning after reports of shots being fired in the area, according to the Memphis Police Department.

Officers say they responded to the shots-fired call at the elementary school in the 3900 block of Horn Lake Road around 9:14 a.m.

The school was placed on lockdown while officers checked the area. No injuries were reported.
