The judge's decision comes after lawyers argued their cases at the emergency hearing on Wednesday.

Judge David Emerson earlier this month ruled that the county must appoint two Republican nominees they had rejected to the Fulton County Registration and Elections Board. A hearing with Judge Emerson is scheduled for 10 a.m. in Fulton County Superior Court.

So far the two GOP nominees, Julie Adams and Jason Frazier, have not been appointed to the posts as Democratic members of the Board of Commissioners have objected to their nominations.
