Voters in Selma voted for a new mayor to lead the city — but they haven’t quite decided who it will be yet.
Johnny Moss, III and Aaron Roper will meet in a mayoral runoff election in four weeks.
Moss lead a list of eight candidates with 35-percent of the vote — followed by Roper’s 26 percent.
Action 8 News caught up with both candidates — to get their reactions to the election results.
“We’re pleased with the results. It shows that our message is resonating. People are believing that we can unify the city and we can continue to work together and rebuild our city together,” said Moss.
