Summer may be hitting the homestretch, but the Hamptons scene in August has still been sizzling with boldfaced names, big bashes and plenty of buzz.

Saving the church

The fight to save the Upper West Side’s West Park Presbyterian Church moved east as Guild Hall, East Hampton on Aug. 25 hosted a star-studded night as The Center at West Park (CWP) presented a one-night-only staged reading of All the President’s Men, directed by John Benjamin Hickey. The cast list was a who’s who: Julianne Moore, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ramy Youssef, Nathan Lane, Alec Baldwin, Andy Cohen, among others.

Moore even teased the event on her Instagram ahead of the show, urging fans to help save West Park Presbyterian, a landmark nonprofit community arts building from being sold. $5,00
