WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Two weeks from today, the fairgrounds in West Springfield will be welcoming tens of thousands for day one of the 110th annual Big E.

The trucks are rolling in and some crews are carefully putting things in place as we are in the homestretch of what should be another memorable Big E.

Eastern States Exposition President and CEO Gene Cassidy told Western Mass News many are eager to get this 17-day event underway while also working hard to get everything ready to go.

“It takes a long time to plan for the fair. It takes a long time to construct what becomes the second largest city in the Commonwealth three weekends of the year,” Gene said.
