North Texas welcomed a weather change and cooler temperatures after the cold front moved through Thursday night. After Thursday’s high of 100, much of North Texas stayed in the 70s to low 80s all day Friday. However, it is still quite humid.

More rain chances are loading up for the weekend. Showers and thunderstorms are likely Saturday, especially during the morning hours. Sunday’s rain chance is looking higher as well, again with an emphasis on the morning. Some of the rain could be quite heavy. Keep your eye on the radar if you have outdoor plans. Highs will remain in the 80s this weekend.

Labor Day looks drier, with only a low chance for a few spotty showers, and with highs back in the upper 80s.
