ALTOONA, Pa. (WTAJ) -- A doctor with UPMC Altoona is being recognized for her outstanding work and dedication to the osteopathic profession.
Dr. Kathleen Sweeney, D.O., is an Associate Director of the UPMC Altoona Family Medicine Residency, was recently awarded the Family Physician of the Year award from the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society at the society's 50th symposium.
She was nominated by Jefferson Adams, D.O., Clayton Vasey, D.O., and Megan Thompson, D.O., three third-year residents within the Family Medicine program, looking to recognize her for her work in advancing osteopathic medicine as well as her commitment to educating students and delivering care that places the patient first.
