DUBOIS, Pa. (WTAJ) — The DuBois Regional Airport is set to undergo a major renovation after receiving $3 million in federal funding to repave its runway and taxi lanes.

The funding will be used to completely repave the runway, which was last resurfaced in 2000, as well as some of the taxi lanes and aprons around the hangar area. This upgrade has been deemed necessary to maintain the airport's infrastructure and ensure its continued operation.

"That money is going to be used to completely repave the runway. It's also going to be used to repave some of the taxi lanes and aprons around our hangar area," Assistant Airport Manager Kathy Blake said. "So with the help of funding like this, it really enables us to be able to do these projects that we would never be able to do on our own."
