CHEST SPRINGS, Pa. (WTAJ) — Lawmakers were in Chest Springs Friday to speak with local farmers about the state of the agricultural industry.

Bill and Joyce Krug hosted local officials at their farm for the Cambria County Farm Bureau Legislative Tour. The event gave members of the farm bureau a chance to speak directly to lawmakers about the challenges they face.

The Krugs said farmers across the state are struggling with rising costs and are having to find other ways to bring in the money needed to support their farms.

"Everything's just gone skyrocket money wise and pretty much if you don't have another job to keep doing what you're doing– all my boys have to work. I still work and my wife still works to keep doing what we're doing," Bill Krug said.
