Perin and his family left early Monday morning from their Connecticut vacation home to maximize one last trip to Massachusetts.

“Check out Harvard and MIT, some historical sites and then hopefully across Boston do all the different trails, hit up a couple of lobster rolls, some oysters, all the good stuff,” Perin added.

AAA of Greater Hartford predicts the roads will stay busy throughout the long weekend. The best times to travel will be Saturday between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m., Sunday before 11 a.
