ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) — Area sheriffs from three counties in our viewing area were in Elmira on Thursday to sit down with Jim Turpin during a live, hour-long discussion while taking comments from viewers about law enforcement.

Sheriff Bill Schrom from Chemung County, Sheriff James Allard from Steuben County, and Sheriff Kevin Rumsey from Schuyler County took part in the Sheriff Forum. The forum was used as a way for viewers to better understand law enforcement practices, and have a chance to ask questions to the top law enforcement official from each county.
