NICHOLS, N.Y. (WETM) — On Thursday, the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group was given a $70,000 donation to help fund its organization, Tioga Downs Casino Resort announced in a release.

The Southern Tier Veterans Support Group (STVSG) received a $70,000 donation from Tioga Downs Casino Resort, & resort owner Jeffrey Gural and his wife, Paula, on Thursday, Aug. 28, the release explained. The donation is to support the STVSG organization and the resources it provides, the release noted.

The STVSG is an organization with a variety of resources for veterans, service members, and their families throughout the Southern Tier of New York and the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, the release explained.

The donation was a collaboration of funds, with a benefit concert hosted by Tioga Downs in July,
