OCONTO COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Wisconsin Department of Health Services Measles Dashboard website now reports 23 cases of measles in the state, all in Oconto County. The percentage of unvaccinated is 100% and two have been hospitalized.

In an update on Friday , Wisconsin DHS said the ongoing investigation indicates that measles is spreading locally. At this time, the investigation has not identified locations in public settings, for which a full list of exposed people cannot be obtained.

Health officials previously said the original cases were infected while visiting another state.

They have not named the community or communities where the cases are confirmed or publicizing any information about the patients.
