CLOVIS, N.M. (KFDA) - The Clovis Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Thursday evening.
Around 9:23 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call in reference to the caller hearing gunshots and screaming in the area of 10th and Ross Streets.
As officers responded to the scene, dispatch told officers a red car was leaving the scene.
Officers stopped the car near 14th and Main Streets, where they found a 44-year-old woman who had a gunshot wound to her back.
She was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center and later transferred to a Lubbock hospital.
At this time, she is in stable condition.
Police say the woman could not provide any information regarding the suspects in the shooting.
