MADISON (WKOW) — An unruly passenger on a Madison Metro Transit was arrested Thursday night after smashing the emergency break box, which caused the emergency brakes to be activated, according to the Madison Police Department .

The sudden stop caused passengers to fall off their seats. The incident occurred at the intersection of State Street and West Dayton Street around 10:30 p.m.

Amar Singh, 31, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries before being arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.

Singh was taken to the Dane County Jail.

No other passengers reported injuries.
