POCATELLO — A local man who police say made serious threats against Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad has been placed in mental health protective custody.

Authorities confirmed the man is the same individual who the FBI had reportedly warned Pocatello police about in April prior to a protest held outside of City Hall over the death of 17-year-old Pocatello resident Victor Perez, who had been shot by police earlier that month.
