MACON, Ga. — A 16-year-old was arrested for making a hoax threat call at Ballard Hudson Middle School in Macon , according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

The press release says the sheriff's office received a 911 call around 2:45 p.m. on Friday about an active shooter at Ballard Hudson Middle School on Anthony Road.

The sheriff's office says deputies responded, and found no sign of a threat. The caller was then located on Bloomfield Road, per the release, about five miles away from Ballard Hudson.

The 16-year-old boy was then taken into custody, and transported to Ballard Hudson Middle School, according to the release.
