The wife of suspected cop killer Dezi Freeman was arrested and then released without charge on Thursday night.

On Friday Mali Freeman was then seen trying to head into the closed Wangaratta Court House House - but it remains unclear what the purpose of her visit was.

It comes as Victoria’s police chief has Dezi Freeman, a self-proclaimed sovereign citizen, to turn himself in on the fourth day of a massive manhunt.

Huge resources are being dedicated to the manhunt. Freeman allegedly opened fire on officers at Porepunkah on Tuesday morning, killing two officers and wounding a third.

Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Mike Bush told reporters on Friday afternoon that officers would not leave until Freeman was in custody.
