SALT LAKE CITY — A woman was rushed to the hospital Friday after a collision on a Washington County highway. Another driver sustained minor injuries.
Lt. Cam Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol said the crash happened at mile marker 26 on state Route 18, near Dammeron Valley.
Roden said a 70-year-old woman was driving south on the highway in a Nissan Frontier and turned left in front of a Toyota Corolla driving the other way. The lieutenant said it was a T-bone collision.
After the collision, the Frontier was knocked into a parked car that was unoccupied.
Emergency crews arrived and had to extricate the woman from her vehicle, then she was sent to the hospital, Roden said, although it was not immediately known what injuries she had.
