JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The City of Jerome held a ribbon cutting for a brand-new park on Friday. The park is also the official new home of the College of Southern Idaho soccer program.

The community was invited to celebrate the opening, with food trucks lined up for lunchtime. The City Administrator, Jerome Mayor, and CSI President thanked all those involved in the process.

After the ribbon cutting, the women’s and men’s soccer teams held their inaugural home games of the season.

As Jerome expands, City Administrator Mike Williams hopes this park becomes vital to the surrounding community.

“You need space, to recreate, you need space to walk, you need space to relax, you need space for your kids to go out and be busy,” Williams said. “So here in this 17-acre park, they’ve got plent
