A Point Pleasant man is accused of using cameras to record children nude in their bedrooms and sharing at least one image on a mobile messaging app, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office said on Friday.

John Olson, 42, of Point Pleasant Borough, was charged with manufacturing, distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material.

Authorities searched Olson’s residence, being used as a foster home, on Aug. 22 after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, authorities said.

Olson uploaded at least one piece of child sexual abuse material to a mobile messaging app, officials said, and several electronic devices were seized during a search of his home.
