President Donald Trump just received some positive economic news.

The U.S. economy grew more in the second quarter than initially projected, the Commerce Department announced Thursday, which revised the U.S. gross domestic product to 3.3%, up from a previous estimate of 3%.

According to the numbers, the GDP shrank 0.5% in the first quarter , amid Trump’s trade wars, but has since bounced back from April through June. It is the best quarter since September 2023, CNBC reported on air.

Many in MAGA world were quick to celebrate the news — with some mocking critics who predicted a recession due to the president’s sweeping tariffs.

“The Trump Effect,” conservative podcaster Benny Johnson wrote on X.

Another account said that “Turns out, we just needed a new President.”
