MOORHEAD — Jazzy and Mumbo's Animal Aid Thrift Store announced this week it would close its doors in the fall, a decision made with heavy hearts as its lease at 3214 US-10 neared an end— or so it seemed.

A conversation with the property owner— and a typo in the lease agreement— has given the thrift store a surprising extra year.

For 16 years, Jazzy and Mumbo's has been dedicated to supporting local pets and their owners by donating profits to help cover veterinary costs, food, and other care, regardless of a family's financial situation.

But in recent years, the mission has become harder to fulfill.
