GRAND FORKS — With in-person meetings behind them, members of Mayor Brandon Bochenski’s Air Service Task Force now must wait for word on whether their community sales pitch was a success.

In the meantime, the mayor said, he is pleased with how well the meetings went and even a bit surprised by how receptive the airlines were to having discussions about expanded air service at Grand Forks International Airport.

“I did expect it would be a lot of work. You’re in those meetings, talking to people and making the case, and that part was easier than I thought it would be,” Bochenski said. “You assume it would be hard to get those (meetings), but they were more than happy to meet.”
