LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Some storms will be possible again on Sunday, though coverage should begin to decrease for the rest of the Labor Day weekend.
As a weak front continues to slowly drift south, we still will have a chance to see some afternoon showers and storms. Luckily, coverage looks more scattered and not as widespread compared to Saturday morning. Still, keep an eye on the sky for outdoor plans.
Drier weather will slowly try and return as we head through early next week as we track a lower coverage of storms for Labor Day with drier air moving in. Highs next week return to the lower 90s, but the biggest difference will be during the morning hours as lows are into the lower 70s with upper 60s inland. In fact, another front late next week could bring another shot of drier air.
