VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) -- The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center is hosting an e-cycling event, where residents can bring unwanted items.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 13, in the aquarium's East Parking Lot. Vendors will include AAA Tidewater Virginia, Goodwill Industries, Virginia Beach Police Department, NexTrex plastic recycling and the 911 Cellphone Bank.
Participants can recycle old cellphones, personal electronic items, unneeded prescriptions, cardboard, plastic bags, resealable plastic bags, case overwrap bubble wrap and more.
Items that will not be accepted during the event include hazardous waste, car batteries, CRT tube TV's and copy machines.
