MINER, Mo. (KFVS) - Miner Firefighters battled a wind-driven brush fire for several hours on Saturday afternoon.
Miner Fire Lt. Brad Patrick says the fire started near Interstate 55 near Miner at approximately 2:30 p.m.
He says the wind caused the fire to spread and damage approximately 25-30 acres of land.
Patrick says the fire was near several businesses, but the roads and parking lots acted as fire breaks.
Lt. Patrick said that because the fire damaged only grass and brush, the department will not investigate the cause of the fire.
