Low level moisture increases across New Mexico Sunday. This will bring an increase in afternoon storm chances, along with slightly cooler high temperatures. Temperatures will continue to cool off slightly for Labor Day, but there will not be as many storms as Sunday. Still, storms will bring a threat of heavy rainfall and flash flooding both Sunday and Monday. Lightning will also pose a risk to any outdoor activity. Tuesday will bring another round of isolated afternoon storms, especially in the mountains and nearby areas.

A stronger backdoor cold front will move into the state Tuesday into Wednesday. This front will bring an increase in low level moisture and cooler temperatures. More showers and storms will develop Wednesday afternoon, especially in northern and eastern New Mexico where
