SARATOGA SPRINGS — After trainer Todd Pletcher won the Grade III With Anticipation with Final Score on Thursday, he said it can be difficult to tell how good 2-year-olds are heading into the Saratoga Race Course summer meet.

He had no such doubt about the filly Tommy Jo, based on her training, and her racing has backed up that opinion, after she won the seven-furlong Grade I Spinaway by 6 1/2 lengths on Saturday.
