WASATCH COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — One person is recovering after a boat accident on Strawberry Reservoir late Friday morning.

According to Wasatch County Search and Rescue, a 911 call was made by an on-shore fisherman just before noon on Friday. They reported a person in the water screaming for help and that the victim's boat was too far away to swim to.

Officials say the male victim was the only person on the boat when they went overboard, and they did not have a life jacket on when they entered the water.

The Strawberry Bay Marina & Lodge was able to dispatch a boat quickly and they were able to pull the victim out of the water quickly. Crews from Wasatch County Search & Rescue, Wasatch County Sheriff's Office and Wasatch Fire responded to the scene to assist.
